ZEITHAIN, GERMANY

ENERPARC developed, constructed, and now operates the 87.1 MWp photovoltaic plant in Zeithain, Saxony, in the Meissen region, covering an area of approximately 95 hectares across nine construction phases between 2016 and 2024. The project is unique because it required numerous exploratory measures and explosive ordnance clearance prior to construction. ENERPARC built the plant on land that had been used by the military for over 150 years. The subsidiary Sunnic Lighthouse markets the generated electricity—approximately 75 GWh annually—through a power purchase agreement (PPA).
