COCHEM-ZELL, GERMANY

ENERPARC developed and constructed the Cochem-Zell Solar Cluster in Rhineland-Palatinate, comprising nine ground-mounted solar power plants with a total capacity of 192 MWp, between 2019 and 2024, and operates the facilities as part of its own portfolio. The project was challenging due to the unique topographical conditions of the Moselle Valley. To connect the plants while carefully integrating them into the landscape, complex drilling operations were carried out under the Moselle River, a double-track railway line, and through two mountains. The 270-meter-high slopes between the turbines required drilling depths of up to 930 meters.
