Milestone reached: Sunnic Lighthouse and DB Energie conclude further solar PPAs and achieve cumulative contract volume of over 200 MWp
Sunnic Lighthouse GmbH, the electricity trading subsidiary of solar park developer ENERPARC AG, and DB Energie have concluded two further power purchase agreements (PPAs). The first includes the supply of around 36 GWh of solar power per year from January 1, 2024 until December 31, 2026. The second PPA, which also started on January 1, 2024 and runs until December 31, 2027, covers an annual supply volume of around 35 GWh. The electricity comes from a total of eleven PV systems already connected to the parent company ENERPARC with a total output of around 83 MWp.
With these further PPAs signed by Sunnic and DB Energie, the two contractual partners have reached another milestone: with the six contracts that have now been concluded, they have secured the supply of solar power from ENERPARC solar plants already connected to the grid with a total output of over 200 MWp.
Arved von Harpe, Managing Director of Sunnic Lighthouse: "We are delighted to continue our partnership with DB Energie. With our wide range of possible supply structures, we can offer DB Energie needs-based solutions and create real added value for our customers."
The two companies concluded their first electricity supply contract for the joint Wasbek pilot project in November 2019. The solar park set up there by ENERPARC feeds green electricity directly into the traction current grid. To date, the project is considered an innovative solution on the market that does not rely on the overloaded public power grid.
About Sunnic Lighthouse:
Sunnic Lighthouse GmbH, based in Hamburg, is a subsidiary of ENERPARC AG. As a leading specialist in the industry, Sunnic offers its customers individual services in the field of renewable energies: from direct marketing and electricity supply to hedging transactions via power purchase agreements. The main focus is on green electricity from German photovoltaic systems, in addition to all other sustainable electricity sources. As at July 1, 2023, the trading portfolio comprised green electricity from around 3,400 megawatts of installed plant capacity, of which 1,000 megawatts came from wind power and around 2,400 megawatts from photovoltaic plants.
The international specialist for solar power plants in the megawatt segment is active as a developer, constructor, operator and investor of large-scale solar power plants. Founded in Hamburg in 2008, the non-listed company currently employs over 400 people and is active in Spain, France, Portugal, India and Australia in addition to its core market of Germany. Since then, ENERPARC has successfully connected more than 600 solar plants with an output of over 4,100 MW to the grid worldwide - 3,000 MW of which are its own solar power plants - and has established itself as one of the largest independent power producers for solar energy in Europe.
