Solar Park Owner ENERPARC AG Files for Insolvency

The Executive Board of ENERPARC AG has filed a petition with the Hamburg Local Court to open insolvency proceedings. Consequently, on September 7, 2026, the court appointed restructuring expert Stefan Denkhaus, an attorney and partner at the Hamburg-based corporate law firm BRL, as provisional insolvency administrator.

The provisional insolvency administrator and his team are already on site to inform employees about the provisional insolvency proceedings. One of his first priorities is to stabilize business operations and the group companies.

Attorney Stefan Denkhaus says: “The insolvency proceedings began today. I am already holding initial discussions with the Executive Board, the company’s advisors, and the lenders to stabilize the company.” Insolvency filings by sister companies are also possible, but it is still too early for a definitive assessment.

With approximately 5.5 gigawatts of installed capacity—3.8 gigawatts of which are connected to the grid—and more than 500 solar parks, ENERPARC AG is one of Europe’s largest independent solar park owners. Operations will continue.

The core business of the ENERPARC Group—headquartered in Hamburg and employing approximately 380 people at ENERPARC AG—is the development, construction, and operation of solar power plants and the marketing of electricity. To this end, the entire downstream value chain has been established within the group over the past 18 years: from project development through construction and operation to energy trading. Today, ENERPARC AG is also active in the development of electricity storage infrastructure and substations. ENERPARC AG’s revenue base consists of the 500 solar parks in Germany and around the world that generate sustainable electricity.
